Terms of Service

The contractual terms and guidelines governing your use of the Saathi Bot platform, dashboard, and widget runtime.

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“Customer”, “User”, or “you”) and Saathi Bot (“we”, “us”, or “our”), governing your access to and use of the Saathi Bot web application, APIs, dashboard, and embeddable chat widget (collectively, the “Service”).

By creating an account, embedding the Saathi Bot script on your web properties, or making API calls to our gateway, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you possess the authority to bind that entity.

2. Description of the Service & What It Is Not

Saathi Bot is a multi-tenant software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that allows website owners to index their public web pages, sitemaps, and uploaded documents (PDFs, text) into vector embeddings, deploying an interactive conversational widget that answers user questions grounded in that indexed material.

Crucial Clarification: Saathi Bot is an automated software tool. It does not provide professional, legal, medical, financial, or regulatory advice. It is not a human customer support agent, and it does not guarantee that every answer generated by artificial intelligence models will be complete, accurate, or factual.

3. Account Registration & Security

You must provide accurate, current, and complete registration information. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account or organization.

You agree to notify us immediately at security@saathibot.com upon discovering any unauthorized use of your account or security breach.

4. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the Service, nor permit third parties or visitors to use it, to:

  • Upload, scrape, or index content that infringes upon third-party copyrights, patents, trademarks, or proprietary trade secrets.
  • Distribute unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, harassing, obscene, hateful, or abusive content.
  • Attempt to breach, probe, or bypass tenant isolation, Row-Level Security (RLS) policies, or access other organizations' data.
  • Execute Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) attacks against internal IP ranges (e.g., 127.0.0.1, localhost, 169.254.169.254) through our web scraping crawlers.
  • Circumvent plan limits, rate limiting mechanisms, or origin CORS whitelists.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute direct access to the Saathi Bot platform without explicit written authorization.

5. Plan Quotas & Enforcement

Each organization plan (Free, Starter, Pro) includes specific operational caps:

  • Maximum Bots: The total number of active bots your organization may maintain simultaneously.
  • Maximum Indexed Pages: The upper threshold of web pages or document chunks indexed per bot.
  • Monthly Message Quota: The count of visitor chat questions processed per calendar month.

When your monthly message quota is exhausted, your widget will gracefully display a standard “Monthly capacity reached” notification rather than failing silently. We do not charge surprise automated overage fees without your prior opt-in.

6. Intellectual Property & Content Ownership

Your Content Remains Yours: You retain 100% ownership, title, and copyright in all documents, text, logos, trademarks, and knowledge sources you upload to Saathi Bot. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license solely to process, chunk, embed, and store your content for the purpose of operating your bot.

Our Platform: Saathi Bot, its software architecture, source code, user interfaces, branding, and documentation remain the exclusive intellectual property of Saathi Bot and its licensors.

7. AI Hallucinations & Accuracy Disclaimer

Saathi Bot incorporates Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and similarity confidence scoring (rejecting queries below a 0.55 similarity threshold) to minimize hallucinations. However, artificial intelligence models are probabilistic.

Customer Responsibility: You acknowledge that generative AI can occasionally generate incorrect, incomplete, or unexpected outputs. You are responsible for testing your bot in the playground, configuring appropriate system prompts, and reviewing questions logged in the Unanswered Questions dashboard before relying on bot answers for critical operations.

8. Service Availability & Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, statutory, or implied.

Given the realities of free and low-cost tiers, we do not guarantee 100% uninterrupted uptime or error-free operation. We reserve the right to perform scheduled maintenance, apply security patches, and upgrade infrastructure with reasonable advance notice when feasible.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, neither Saathi Bot nor its directors, employees, or contractors shall be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, or business goodwill, arising from or related to your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our aggregate cumulative liability arising out of or related to these Terms shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount paid by you to Saathi Bot in the twelve (12) months preceding the incident, or (b) ₹1,000 INR (in the case of free-tier users).

10. Termination & Account Cancellation

You may terminate your account at any time via the Organization settings in your dashboard. Upon deletion of your bot or account, all vector embeddings, sources, domains, and chat histories are permanently purged via database cascade.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts immediately without prior notice in the event of material breach of these Terms, non-payment, or security abuse threatening other tenants.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the substantive laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

The courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of these Terms.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms periodically. We will indicate the date of the most recent revision at the top of this document. Continued use of the Service following published updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
